F.A.Q.
Frequently Asked Questions

01

Do I need a court order to receive services?

No, in most cases a court order is not necessary as long as both parties agree to the terms of service and payment arrangement.

02

How long will it I have to wait for my first visitation with my child(ren)?

We do not have a waiting list to receive services however we do require both parties to complete the intake process prior to beginning visitations.  We can typically schedule the first visit within two weeks.

03

Where can I have my visitation with my child(ren)?

We provide community-based visitation which means you can have visits with your child in any public location that is age appropriate that both parties agree upon or is dictated in the court order.

04

Can I have visitation in my home or a family members home?

Yes!  You can have visits in the comfort of your own home or a family members home if both parties agree and there are no limitations in the court order.  We do however require a one-time home inspection and background checks for parties who reside in the home prior to the first visit in the home.

05

Can family members, significant other, or friends attend the visitation with me?

This is case dependent however we strongly recommend against it.  We will always abide by the court order limitations but in the event that there are no court order guidelines both parties must be in agreement.

06

What days and times do you offer visitation?

We have professional providers available to perform visitations 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.  Evenings, weekends, and holidays are no problem!

07

Will the custodial parent be present during the visitation?

No, the custodial parent will not be present during the visitation.  It is our company policy that the custodial parent leaves the premises upon the professional provider taking possession of the children.  It will only be the non-custodial parent, children, and professional provider present during the visit.

08

What cities do we provide services in?

We provide services throughout the entire state of Ohio in every county.  We have professional providers available in all major cities such as Columbus, Cleveland, Dayton, Cincinnati, Akron, Toledo and every location between!

09

Can we provide transportation for the children before/during/after the visit?

In some cases we are able to provide transportation services for the children before/during/after the visit depending on the age and number of the children.  *Additional fee will be incurred.  Contact us for details regarding your specific needs.

10

Do we work with attorneys, court officials, guardian ad litem (GAL), etc?

Yes, at Ally Family Services we pride ourselves on the collaboration with judges, attorneys, CASA representatives, GAL's, and CPS workers.

11

What if one parent has a protection order against the other?

No problem!  We are accustomed to handling these situations.  We actually treat every case as if there is a protection order in place to eliminate conflict or negative feelings during the points in the visitation process where parents have the possibility of coming in contact.  We do this by staggering arrivals/departures of custodial and non-custodial parents.

12

Do I have to stay at one location for the entire visit?

This largely depends on the details written within the court order.  If there is not a specific location noted in the court order then the non-custodial parent may travel to different locations during the visit as long as it is discussed with the agency prior to the start of the visit and the custodial parent is in agreement.  If the court order specifies that the non-custodial parent may not drive transport the children, our professional provider may be able to provide transportation to different locations during the visit.

13

Can we do all of the communication between the parents?

If parents are unable to communicate through traditional methods or via monitored apps, such as Our Family Wizard or Talking Parents, Ally Family Services can provide the communication between parties for a weekly case management fee.  Contact us for pricing details.
